OUR PROCESS
(FOR PERSONAL GOODS WITH RESIDENTIAL DELIVERIES)
HERE' HOW IT WORKS
We hope this helps you with your planning and that it provides a better understanding of what happens from the day of pick-up, warehouse activities, during transit, until the date of delivery. Feel free to contact us ......

STEP 1
CONTACT
The day of the pick-up, we’ll contact you approximately 15-30 minutes prior to our arrival.

STEP 2
ARRIVAL
We come to your local area residence (typically with a crew of two-four people) and remove from your home everything that is to be shipped.

STEP 3
WEIGHT
Everything is weighed as it is loaded into the truck to determine the final shipping weight and price.

STEP 4
CONTRACT
A contract is written and signed by both parties and payment is collected.

STEP 5
FURNITURE WRAP
Furniture items will be blanket and/or shrink wrapped to protect while in route to our warehouse in San Diego, CA.

STEP 6
STANDARD PACKAGING
Back at the warehouse, furniture and other loose items are safely and securely packaged and protected with shrink or bubble wrap before being boxed up in corrugated and put on pallet(s) (ready for shipping).

STEP 7
CUSTOM CRATING
(optional & fees apply)
Crating is always available and will be recommended by us for your most fragile, rare, or one-of-a-kind pieces, and upon your request. (additional fees apply)

STEP 8
PALLETIZING
The pallets and/or crates are handled as freight by forklifts and pallet jacks as they are loaded on and off of the trucks.

STEP 9
SHIPPING
They are then shipped to the destination by common carrier.

STEP 10
SCHEDULE DELIVERY
One of their representatives will contact you (or the receiver) directly, while the shipment is in transit or when it has arrived at the “destination” terminal, to schedule the residential delivery appointment date and time. (Typically, deliveries are scheduled Mon-Fri., usually between 8am-6pm.)

STEP 11
DELIVERY
The day of the delivery, the truck will get as close as it can to the driveway or other designated area. The truck will have a lift-gate to off-load to the ground, the pallets/crates containing the contents of your shipment.

STEP 12
SIGN & INSPECT
You will be asked to sign a delivery receipt, verifying the piece count and the condition of the shipment.

STEP 13
UNPACK
The driver will be off to his next stop and you will begin your unpacking!
